Looking forward to some blasts from the past.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!  My weekend we pretty relaxed.  I got to meet my friend’s 5 week old baby girl, and enjoyed a pool party on Saturday, although it was a too chilly to go in the pool.

Saturday night and Sunday, were spent working on a few crafts (I will have the how-to posted soon, for the picture frame I updated-picture below, the candle holders I made from vintage glass insulators and finally finishing my painted curtains), instead of folding laundry like I should have been.  I think this was a procrastination tactic…Okay well I KNOW this was a procrastination tactic.

That means this week I will have to make up for it as I get packed for my weekend trip to Milwaukee.

I’m heading down to Milwaukee for my 10-year college reunion is next weekend.  I can’t believe that it has been 10 years since I graduated from college.   I keep up to date with most of my friends thanks to Facebook, and Twitter, but honestly, nothing makes up for actually spending time with friends you haven’t seen whether it’s been a few months, a year, or even 10 years!  While this is only a weekend getaway, it will be good to get away and recharge my batteries!

Besides being excited to catch up with old friends, I’m always excited to Milwaukee.  It was my home for four years!  I remember my first “memory” of Marquette.  My family and a family friend and her daughter went down to the Milwaukee Zoo, I was between 8 and 12.  We drove past the campus and I remember seeing “Marquette University” on one of the buildings as we drove past the south side of campus (that build was the Rec Center).  My next memory was when I was a senior in high school and my parents, brother and I all drove 2 hours for me to take a tour of the school.  It was a dreary November day (we couldn’t have picked a gloomier day) and upon first sight, I fell in love with the school, and the city.

Picture frame made this weekend.  Random pictures from college days!
