So I was catching up on my Facebook feed this morning and one of my friends posted a link to a blog called Plenty of Fishy, The title of the blog seemed funny and it stuck with me, and seemed relevant with V-Day just a few days away. I thought what the heck, I’ll check it out.  This is a quirky little blog that recounts the writer’s Krista’s encounters in the world of online dating.  I too have been dipping my toes, oh heck I’ve been dangling my feet into the online dating pool for a while and had mixed results.  I can feel her pain and laugh at some of the ridiculousness that she runs into.

I was sitting at my temporary desk, reading the posts, and chuckling to myself as quietly I could with out scaring the people around me!  They must think I’m pretty odd.  I had tears from laughing.  Krista’s writing is fresh, sarcastic, and down right funny.  It’s just what I needed to get through a Wednesday where I’ve already put in 30 hours.

Since most of my friends and family is pared off, V-Day isn’t the holiday I look forward to most, it’s nice to read stories and know that I’m not the only one who is going through a similar experience. Online dating is tricky and not for the faint of heart!  I can’t wait to read more from Krista.  When I’m getting bummed about my online dating experience isn’t going the way I hoped it would, I can just go to Krista’s blog and see how her adventures are going and remind me that if I’m catching only “clown fish” to recast my line and go fishing again.
