Thursday marked my 1 year blogoversary. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started on this little journey. I never would have dreamed that anyone out there would be interested in what I has to say, my randomness, or what I’ve done.
To celebrate, I made Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes. I mean who really needs a reason to indulge in cupcakes? Not this girl, that’s for sure.
I have learned a lot about blogging, and myself this past year. Like, blogging takes a lot of work. (Who would have thought right?) There’s taking photos, and editing them, which for me seems to take the longest. Every day things I would do before, now are a potential posts.
I have been able to share some firsts with you guys, like making cake pops or a new recipe like grilled portobello mushroom burgers. I tried my hand at gardening last year and I made some tweaks this year and am trying it again this year.
Blogging helps me be creative. This wasn’t something that I thought I was. My mom was always the creative one in the family. I really enjoy getting inspired by what I see, out and about or online and putting my spin on things.
It also allows be explore my city, and surrounding area. I thought I knew my city, but there are so many changes going on, and different events that if I want to find something to do I can. One goal I have for myself is to get out more, even if it’s by myself.
In the next year I need to make sure to have my trusty point and shoot (I’m saving up for a DSLR) on the ready, and make sure that my posts are updated timely! Life gets in the way, or sometimes I’m just burnt out after a long day of work. I’m looking forward to another year to hoan my blog, crafting skills and photography skills!
Thanks for a great first year! I’m looking forward to what the upcoming year has to offer!
