Hey there! 2020 has been something of a year hasn’t it? Like some of you, I’ve experienced some pretty low lows, but I’ve also experienced some pretty exciting highs.
At the beginning of this year, I was busy preparing for craft fairs, and working on projects when COVID-19 hit. The craft fairs I had lined up, closed in accordance with our governor’s Safer at Home Mandate. My family and I celebrated in April with the good news that my brother and sister-in-law were expecting their first child. We even celebrated my dad’s birthday by golfing when the golf courses opened up for social distanced golfing. Then my dad didn’t feel good, and when he finally got tested, which came back positive for COVID-19. A month later, our lives were changed when my dad passed away.
Between taking care of my dad until he was hospitalized, working, cleaning out my parent’s house, getting the estate in order, having a socially distanced memorial, purchasing a house, and welcoming my sweet nephew, blogging and working on crafts took a back seat.
I am hoping that 2021 will afford me more time to get back into my blogging and crafting as I get settled into my new home. I’ve already knocked out some “smaller” projects like painting my guest bedroom and the living room, installing a new front porch light. I have some ideas I would like to tackle on my own and some that I know I will need professionals to do.
Since it is the Holidays, I couldn’t not decorate for the season.
Until then I’m slowly plucking away at the mountains of boxes I have to unpack. Here’s to a better 2021. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season!
